HOW WE MET (TREVOR’S SIDE)

How we met-

Playing volleyball! Me and a friend used to organize apartment volleyball games and competitions each week, and one week we accidentally organized the game for the same day and time that the apartment complex was hosting an outdoor party and grill activity. Needless to say, we had a record turn out to the volleyball game. Lucky for me, one of those new players was Meghan:) She was dancing and singing to the music being played, dove for the ball many a time, and seemed to enjoy my outgoing humor. I instantly made sure I was the one standing by her in the rotations so I would have at least and hour to win her over.

We had a great time playing volleyball, and our team comedy was unstoppable. All of the sudden, over the loudspeaker the apartment complex announced that the first person to pick someone else up and throw them in the pool would get a $100 gift card to outback steakhouse. We looked right at each other and HOOFED it over the pool as fast as we could so I could throw her in the pool. (someone beat us to it) The important thing is that we were on the same page.

Soon after that, I asked her if she would want to go get something to eat or come over and watch a movie when we were done playing volleyball. She said "I actually have homework I need to get done tonight, or else I would!" So of course, I overcame the objection. "What kind of homework?" "Fitness for life" "Perfect! I am an exercise science major, and Ill help you with your homework and then we can do something afterwards!"

Needless to say, It was all uphill from there) science major, and Ill help you with your homework and then we can do something afterwards!"

Needless to say, It was all uphill from there)

HOW WE MET (MEGHAN’S SIDE)

Me and my roommate went to meet some friends at a party put on by our apartment complex. After we got our free food we decided that the “flamingle” was as horrible as it sounded and vollyball sounded way more fun. We went over and this super cute guy invited us to be on his team. Unfortunately for him I had decided earlier that day that I was going to take a break from dating and focus on school so I wouldn’t get into a relationship too fast (haha). Trevor was clearly flirting with me but I was determined. After one of my other friends had observed what was happening he told me to give the guy a chance. We flirted the rest of the night and I knew I liked him, but still determined I told him I had homework so I couldn’t hang out.

Clearly that wasn’t a problem for him since he insisted that he could help me with it. Once I got over to his apartment it was apparent that I didn’t really need help on my homework and that he was 3 weeks into his “ exercise science major” and knew no more than I did.

Since “homework” took a whole 10 minutes we watched movie and talked until 3a.m. My determination was no match for his.

We hung out everyday after that for a month before I had to visit my parents in Colorado.

After dating for 14 months, Trevor got down on one knee while on a canyon drive and had a band come out playing the song he knew I wanted my first dance to be to. He’s perfect.

And the rest is history
